The best Panama Arabica comes from the Boquete Valley, which is located near the largest active volcano in the country - Volcán Barú.
The designation Arabica Panama SHB describes how coffee beans are grown at an altitude above 1 500 metres above sea level and stands for the best quality.
The country produces around 50,000 to 100,000 bags of coffee a year, 82% of which is Arabica. Panama's total coffee-growing area is 22,400 hectares and its Arabic plantations are located at an altitude of between 1200 and 1650 metres above sea level.
The excellent taste of the Arabica is due to the excellent microclimatic conditions, the fertile volcanic soils and the mountainous terrain.
Its taste profile is rich and full of sweetness because its fruits ripen slowly. This is due to the winds hovering over the mountains, which surround the coffee plantations with delicate fog.
Panama Arabica is mainly processed by the wet method.
A cup of bean Panama SHB surprises with its full caffeine power and seduces with its softness in taste.
